Tuesday Tip #6

By now, the weather is cool. 
The mornings are crisp. 
And many are really getting into their baking!
Here are some cookie baking tips that should help while you're getting all your cookies ready for holiday deliveries for your families, friends and neighbors.

Cookies will spread if your dough is too pliable by allowing butter to get too soft. if your cookies are spreading too much, try refrigerating the dough for a couple of hours before baking.
Cookie dough can be frozen up to 3 months in an airtight container or refrigerated 3-4 days.
Check cookies at minimum baking time.
Let Cookies cool completely before storing. 
Store different types of cookies in separate containers so they'll keep their original flavor and texture.

  1. For cookies: Any ideas for how to soften butter if you're impatient and don't want to just let it sit out for a long time? I've tried microwaving on a different power, but the middle always melts.
