White Chicken Chili

A while ago we went to our friends house for dinner and she made this fabulous White Chicken Chili. I loved it!! Then I started seeing White Chili showing up all over Pinterest. So, I asked my friend for her recipe and made it. :)
It tasted fabulous and totally hit the spot!! 
It's super easy!

1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast cut into 1/2 inch cubes
1 medium onion, chopped
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tb vegetable oil
2 cans (15.5 oz) great northern beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (4.5 oz) chopped green chilies
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 cup (8 oz) sour cream
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
2 1/2 cups chicken broth

In large saucepan, saute chicken onion and garlic powder in oil until chicken is no longer pink

Add the beans, broth, chilies, and seasonings

Bring to a boil

Reduce heat; simmer uncovered for 30 minutes

Remove from the heat and stir in sour cream and whipping cream
(I turned the heat down way low so that the creams could warm up too)

Serve immediately
(The directions I got said serves 7 but it barely served 3 so adjust accordingly)
