{wednesday weekly meal} Slow Cooker Cilantro Lime Chicken

I'm really starting to love my Crock Pot!!!
I love not having to do anything but put the ingredients in the pot and set the timer. 
Perfect for a Saturday or Sunday dinner!
The other Sunday, we did just that. 
Marvin placed all the ingredients in the pot and we enjoyed a nice breakfast and then left for church. 
It was marvelous to come home to a wonderful smelling dinner.
I hope you enjoy this as much as we did :)

Ingredients
4-6 Boneless Chicken Breast Halves (completely defrosted)
1 24oz jar of Medium or Mild Salsa
Juice from One Lime
1/4 cup Cilantro, chopped*
1 package of Taco Seasoning
2 Jalapeno Peppers, finely chopped (optional)
*we did not use the fresh kind
(When Marvin cooks, he doesn't measure things. He throws in what he thinks is close to the measurement of the recipe and with out fail it always works out and always tastes great.)


Directions
Place all ingredients, minus the chicken, in the crock pot


Add the completed defrosted chicken to the crock pot


Set timer on low for 6 hours

Now find something to do whether it's an enjoyable day with family, catching up on your to-do list, or enjoying a good book!!


We shredded our chicken like we did in our Cafe Rio Chicken Recipe and served as chicken burritos!
