{wednesday weekly meal} French Bread Pizza

I used to love love love freezer pizza. 
We always have frozen pizza in our freezer and it is always a great go to when I don't want to make dinner or something comes up last minute and we don't have time to cook anything. 
But, at the beginning of my pregnancy and right as our oven broke, we made a freezer pizza and it didn't get cooked all the way through.
It was disgusting and doughy and well, even thinking about frozen pizza makes my stomach churn.

Since we can't afford to have pizza all the time I found a rather perfect alternative and it may even be cheaper than a frozen pizza depending on if you already have the ingredients on hand or not.
So enjoy the recipe I found.

Ingredients
1-2 loaves of French Bread
1-2 jar of Pizza Sauce
Any Toppings
Pepperoni, Green Peppers, Olives, Tomatoes
1-2 cups Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
(1 loaf is plenty for two people)

Directions
Pre-heat oven to 500 degrees

Cut French Bread in half length wise

Place halves on cookie sheets open faced

Spread 1/4 of the jar on each side

Place your favorite toppings on the French Bread

Bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the bread slightly brown

Cut into strips and serve
